Known to have a golden touch when it comes to dance floor destroyers, Noferini is a shining example that true talent rises to the top. A long time champion of house music in all its forms, Stefano has been building his legend for some time. Always innovating sounds and crossing into a broad range of genres has been a key factor in his well-deserved rise. Never one to stagnate, Stefano has merged all the musical elements at his disposal into a brilliant sound experience that no one can match.

Hailing from Italy, Stefano Noferini is one of the nation’s most respected DJs and producers. Having been a pivotal force in Italy's burgeoning house music scene with his national radio show, Stefano forged a musical symbiosis with his homeland that still exists today. Years of top productions have cemented his status at the top of the dance music food chain. One peek inside ANY DJs CD wallet and you can bet they're packing something from this hit maker.

Technical prowess notwithstanding, Stefano Noferini is truly a DJs DJ. When he takes charge of the wheels of steel, everyone is absorbed in the musical journey. Fellow DJs, who would normally hide in their dressing rooms, are always sure to catch Stefano if they share the bill with him. Something magical happens with Stefano on the decks, a real energy takes hold and people get connected to music in a way that is beautifully pure. If you want to lose yourself in music, Stefano is for you!

Of course, Stefano is also a top seller on Beatport, holding numerous #1 positions in just about every genre they have. His original music and remixes are charted heavily by a diverse range of talented DJs both of the commercial and underground variety. He's also been named Beatports "Breakout Artist of the Year" in 2010, and was nominated as their "Artist of the Year" in 2011. He has even crossed into a more commercial territory by overtaking artists like Pitbull, Shakira, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé to score a #1 hit on Billboard's Hot Dance chart.

On the clubbing circuit, Stefano Noferini is a top draw. Ministry of Sound, Euphoria, H20, F-135, Space Miami, Space Ibiza, Cocoon Frankfurt, Lief Festival, Sankeys and Row 14 have all seen Noferini pack the house on any night he plays. His infectious driving rhythms and brilliant command of the music he plays keeps people dancing until the very last beat drops. And then they want more! It seems there is only an upward momentum swirling around this incredible talent, but the man at the center of it all stays humbled by all the attention. He continues to expand his global reach by growing his well-known radio program, Club Edition, into new territories each month. The show currently is heard by millions of people in some 15 countries worldwide. His imprint, Deeperfect Records is bringing superior sounds to the masses with sexy tech inspired grooves penned by today's most relevant producers: Stefano Noferini, Wally Lopez and Paolo Mojo to name a few. It is one of the most respected dance labels today, no question.

But it's Stefano's incredible DJ sets that keep fans clamoring for more from this innovative Italian master. While other DJs just mix music, Stefano Noferini takes the art of the DJ to a whole other level. Stefano has the ability to tap right into our primal need to dance, you may miss the subtle expertise filling your mind with proper house grooves, but your body will hail the call, understand, and you'll be dancing like you've never danced before. He is what dance music is all about.

Marco Bailey - "Electronic Force" Radio Show

Fridays on from 9pm-10pm U.S. (PST). at: Planetfrequency Radio Show

MARCO BAILEY - "ELEKTRONIC FORCE" RADIO SHOW

It all starts with a beat. A virtuoso of any craft starts with a love in their heart and a belief that this is their path. Great talents make their mark on the world by perseverance, struggle and dogged determination- traits few can withstand for very long these days. But sometimes a character of substance emerges, someone whose passion and talent truly rise above the norm, someone that embodies this music like no other can, a man who champions techno like a religion, and someone that the electronic music world can admire and take pride in.

Marco Bailey is truly an icon in dance music. He cemented this status through relentless touring and with releases across a wide variety of respected labels such as: Drumcode, Intec, Sleaze etc to name a few. After his critically acclaimed "Dragon Man" LP on John Digweed’s Bedrock label in 2011, Marco released the notable "Stella EP" (Intec) followed by "Jungle Laps" (Bedrock) in 2012. Esteemed artists such as Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Gregor Tresher, Speedy J, Nic Fanciulli, The Advent, Pig & Dan, Christian Smith, Dave Angel, Ken Ishii and Sian all remixed Marco, always citing the fact that they are honored to work with someone they so admire and respect.

Marco’s certainly not just releasing on other artists’ labels. His own imprint, MB Elektronics saw him churn out no less than five separate EPs in 2012 alone. This was followed up by what some techno aficionados have dubbed a masterpiece, his 12 track album “High Volume” which dropped in 2013 along with his very up close and personal documentary “Marco Bailey.” Just born is also his new imprint MBR limited as well, a special limited series editions of total 20 EP's, all showing the deeper, dark and pureness of the Techno Sound of Marco Bailey. Each time with on the flip side a brilliant Remix such as guys like Black Asteroid from New York City, Flug from Argentina, Berlin based legends like Mike Dehnert & Korova.

Marco is a festival fixture at some of the most prestigious shows in the world such as Tomorrowland (BE), Time Warp (Mannheim Germany), Awakenings (NL), Dance Valley (NL), Burning Man (USA), I Love Techno (BE), Nature One (DE), Global Gathering (UK), Ultra Music Festival (USA), Wire (JP), and Monegros (SP). On the clubbing side, he is a lauded techno ambassador at venues like Output (NYC), Zouk (SG), Ageha (JP), Fabric (London), Fabrik (Madrid), Lehmann (Germany), Rex (Paris), Industrial Copera (ES), and Chinese Laundry (AU) and with his annual guest appearances at Carl Cox’s "Revolution" events at Space in Ibiza, Marco has affirmed his legend and well-earned place at the top.

Marco continues to adapt and challenge the status quo each week with his radio program Electronic Force which is heard by millions of listeners in more than 50 countries. This, coupled with his innovative production genius, passport filling tour routine, and never ending love and energy for techno culture makes Marco Bailey one of our truest icons.

Boris - "Transmissions" Radio Show

Show: Weekly  |  Archived dss51 Shows

Fridays on from 10pm-11pm U.S. (PST). at: Planetfrequency Radio Show

BORIS - "TRANSMISSIONS" RADIO SHOW

You can hear it in his music: The countless nights of dance floor devastation, the appreciation for the heritage of dance music, the aggressive desire to innovate and do something new. Listen to “Foul Beats,” one of Boris’s first tracks for revered techno label SCI+TEC, and it’s all right there.

There are overnight sensations, and then there’s Boris. Baptized in the booths of New York City, the Russian native learned the craft of DJ-ing in front of the most demanding crowds in the world, developing a deep sense of what moves a packed floor in a moment, an hour, or a full night-to-morning extended session. From TKYEAR to today, he’s been a resident at every major New York nightclub (including Pacha, Crobar, and Roxy), and received award nominations for his service (Club World Awards, America’s Best DJ), not to mention the adoration of dedicated fans: His “BELIEVE” brand is based on their faith in him. He’s also released several compilations on local label Nervous; timeless capsules of the sounds of the city. (He’s set to release a new album on Nervous this March.)

But New York is just the beginning of the story. Boris is a resident at Space (Miami), a regular at BPM Festival (Mexico) and Wet Republic (Las Vegas), and has brought his particular set of skills to Japan, Korea, and Ibiza. His annual pool party Get Wet is a staple of Miami Music Week.

Now, Boris is parlaying all that international intelligence into new productions that represent a fresh musical direction. New Generation, his aptly named debut EP on SCI+TEC (the venerable underground label of legendary artist Dubfire), is deep techno with an energetic BPM: One cut of undeniable funk (“Generate”) and one of undeniable filth (“Foul Beats”), each meant to take the night to the next level. It follows up “Give Yourself” on Roger Sanchez’s Stealth, an electro-house nugget with a walloping kick drum and epic double breakdown. These are the first in a stream of new work melding harder tech sounds with dance floor dynamics.

Dave Clarke - "White Noise" Radio Show

Show: Weekly  |  Archived dss51 Shows

Fridays on from 11pm-12am U.S. (PST). at: Planetfrequency Radio Show

DAVE CLARKE - "WHITE NOISE" RADIO SHOW

He may be known as The Baron Of Techno, a moniker given to him by renowned BBC Radio DJ / journalist John Peel, but Dave Clarke has an anarchist streak a mile wide and punk in his soul, having no truck with establishment figures or authoritarianism. A hard working purist, forward thinking futurist, technology geek, part Gothic and gadget lover who embraced the digital revolution in an early stage while his peers where still sniffing the smell of vinyl, a format he hasn’t used professionally in eleven years. It’s unsurprising he revels in the libertarianism of the World Wide Web. It gives symmetry to his savvy techno vision.

As a DJ, he plays out every weekend everywhere. At every event there’s the same attention to detail, his sets swooping whip-smart along the cutting blade of techno and electro, backed up by a seasoned bag of DJ tricks in which his early hip hop roots clearly show. Aptly nicknamed The Man In Black, Clarke blends into the background upon arrival and lets his music do the talking. That’s where he comes alive, where skills honed for years blow venues apart. It might seem from appearance that Clarke is not enjoying what he does but don’t let the grumpy image fool you. He loves every minute of it and feels humbled and blessed he’s able to do what he does. Whether on prolific festivals like a.o. Tomorrowland, Awakenings, I Love Techno, Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Glastonbury and Nature One, in acclaimed venues such as Fabric, Fuse or Berghain or in dark, sweaty, small capacity clubs: Clarke feeds and nurtures his extraordinary relationship with the crowd.

After things eventually went quiet on the production front, Clarke felt that today’s technology finally allowed him to use studio gear to the maximum, next to the urge to reinvent himself rather than repeat himself. In late 2011, Clarke picked up where he had left off. He came across the young Amsterdam based talent Mr. Jones who consequently fed Clarke with his demos. Clarke noticed his potential and soon formed a duo named Unsubscribe.

The twosome got to work and delivered remixes for artists such as Black Asteroid, Detroit Grand Pubahs, Gesaffelstein, Phil Kieran, Erol Alkan, Boys Noize, Octave One, Simplicity Is Beauty, Marc Romboy and Ken Ishii. Early 2013 saw the return of Dave Clarke as a solo producer by revamping These Days Are Mine by Manchester band I Am Kloot, electro style. The re-release of Wisdom To The Wise (Red 2) on Boysnoize Records in March 2013 (with ground breaking remixes by Boys Noize, Marcel Dettman, Steve Rachmad and A.Mochi) and Unsubscribe’s debut EP on Fabric’s imprint Houndstooth in April 2013 showcases that Clarke finds himself back on the international music map.

As the flag bearer of his successful event concept Dave Clarke Presents, Clarke and his handpicked line up reign the booth in the Amsterdam venue Melkweg during the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) for eight consecutive, sold out editions, duly representing techno and its subgenres during the annual conference. Dave Clarke Presents cranked it up a notch in 2012 as ID&T finally, after many attempts, managed to seal the deal with Clarke to host the second biggest (outdoor) stage on Tomorrowland 2012. With a rammed floor on that memorable Sunday the 29th of July, it became evident that Clarke and ID&T again will collaborate on Tomorrowland 2013 by hosting this area for the second year in a row.

And then there’s White Noise, Clarke's weekly radio show. For many years, White Noise has been and still is an absolute institution for techno and electro globally and an indicator of where the scene is headed. The thrust of the show is to cast light on new talented producers and exciting new music; music by both established as well as aspiring producers Clarke discovers in his Dropbox each and every day that won’t have normally be given a chance. Since the split up with Dutch radio broadcaster VPRO (3FM), Clarke moved White Noise to the Irish radio station 2FM RTE and French online and airwave station Radio FG. In February 2013, White Noise was expanded to wider grounds when the show joined the award winning web radio Digitally Imported (DI.fm), with many more additional stations to follow in 2013.

As an official ambassador for global brands like Denon, Serato, Soundtoys and French gear manufacturer Arturia, Dave Clarke will continue his newfound love for making music in 2013, gather airmiles by the gallon and preach his vision on techno both on the decks and on the radio, whilst never forgetting the long and bumpy journey he had to undertake to get where he is now: on top of the game, respected by both fans and peers and very much relevant in today’s scene. He might be established, but he will never be establishment.

Christian Smith - "Tronic" Radio Show

Show: Weekly  |  Archived dss51 Shows

Fridays on from 12am-1am U.S. (PST). at: Planetfrequency Radio Show

CHRISTIAN SMITH - "TRONIC" RADIO SHOW

It is hard to imagine a list of prolific producers for 2011 without Christian Smith's name towards the top. Having consistently dominated charts and DJs playlists with a steady flow of releases on high profile labels like Bedrock, Systematic, 100% Pure, Soma, Global Underground, Mistakes Music, 1605 and his own Tronic imprint, there has barely been a month go by without news circulating of an exciting new Christian Smith production. As such, the techno tastemaker begins 2012 secure in his position as one of the most evergreen performers in his field. A DJ and producer who has operated at the top of his game for over a decade. Experienced enough to intuitively gauge what works best on the dance floor yet open-minded enough to move with shifting trends; Smith has accomplished the dual achievement of being both unshakably credible amongst his peers and popular within a global audience, as a whole new generation of fans discover Christian's trademark blend of high impact tech house and musical techno.

Christian Smith

However, this latest chapter of what has been a varied and dynamic career will come as no surprise to those who have followed Christian Smith’s productions over recent years. Having delivered the crossover record of 2008 - Total Departure on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label – Christian followed up with a succession of fresh sounding club bombs that surfaced on John Digweed’s Bedrock label, Dubfire’s Sci+Tec, the legendary Renaissance, and Steve Lawler’s ultra cool Viva imprint throughout 2009. Next came chart-topping productions such as the Beatport #1 Air Miles track on 100% Pure, the anthemic remixes of Carl Craig’s seminal At Les, which proved to be a mainstay of Beatport’s Top 10 through summer 2010, and a run of club-smashing tracks such as Pitanga (Systematic), Cabecudas, System Of Survival, (Bedrock), The Price of Freedom (1605) and Automatic (100% Pure). 2012 promises more of the same with new projects for Bedrock, Systematic and 100% Pure as well as new material on Tronic including a collaboration EP with Florian Meindl and remixes for Marc Romboy and Bushwacka.

Supplementing Christian's original output has been a series of remixes of classic and current tracks which have propelled Smith to the position of being one of the most in-demand remixers within his scene. Underworld (Dark & Long), Laurent Garnier (Flashback), Funk D’Void (Diabla) and Robotman aka Richie Hawtin (Do Da Doo) have all been reborn thanks respectful but energized reworks of stone-cold club anthems, while artists as varied as John Digweed, Sharam, Steve Angelo, Bushwacka, Mauro Picotto, Marc Romboy, Rodriguez Jr, Darren Emerson, Gabriel Ananda, Spektre, D-Nox & Beckers and Doomwork have all turned to Christian for something extra on their releases. The net result has been the successful transformation of Christian from a member of the old school techno elite to one of the lead players in the current marketplace with a 22nd placing in Resident Advisors “most charted producer of all time” poll and an almost non-stop presence in the upper end of the Beatport sales charts - an achievement recognized by the award of 3rd place in Beatport’s 2010 “Best Techno Producer” poll.

The popularity of Christian's big-room, crossover sound with its melodic, euphoric highs and rhythmical funk energy is testament to the multi-genre draw of Christian's music. This breadth of appeal is evident in both the DJ support Christian receives and also in the gigs Christian plays. Regular supporters ranging from techno stalwarts like Richie Hawtin and Adam Beyer through to tech house DJs like 2000 And One and Stephan Bodzin, and even trance superstars like Tiesto and Sander Van Doorn. In addition to Christian's shows for Bedrock and Systematic at the Miami and ADE conferences respectively, 2011 saw Christian perform all over Europe, North America, Asia and South America with notable stops at Pacha Buenos Aeries, Womb Tokyo, Space Ibiza, Klubbers Day Madrid, Watergate Berlin, Lovelands Amsterdam, Space Miami, H2O Mexico City, The Loft Barcelona, Café D'Anvers Antwerp, Ellui Seoul, Cocoon Frankfurt, The Egg London, Crobar Buenos Aires, Circus Montreal and Smart Bar Chicago. Proof, if it was needed, that it is possible for an already successful producer to reinvent their sound while maintaining their relevance and position at the very pinnacle of electronic music.
